Call for Papers

 

MORE THAN 80 REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS

EXTENDED DEADLINE: 18th of September 2016

 

 

More than 80 participants have already registered for the second edition of the International Interdisciplinary Doctoral Conference (IIDC 2016) organized by the Romanian Association of Young Scholars (RAYS) in Bucharest, Romania. Co-organized with the Faculty of Political Science at the National School of Political Studies and Public Administration (FSP-SNSPA), the Research Institute for Quality of Life at the Romanian Academy (ICCV), Center for Research in Applied Ethics at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Bucharest (CEEA-UNIBUC), Faculty of International Business and Economics at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies (REI-ASE)  the aim of this conference is to offer young scholars in Romania and abroad an opportunity to present and publish the results of their research in a friendly, youthful environment.

 

The International Interdisciplinary Doctoral Conference welcomes contributions on various research topics relevant to contemporary social sciences research. As such, we invite post-doctoral researchers, young faculty staff, doctoral students and MA students from the field of social sciences to participate with papers from the following fields of study (and not only):

 

 

The event will take place on the 30th of September and the 1st of October, 2016 at the RIN Grand Hotel (****) Conference Center on no. 7D Vitan-Barzesti Highway, Bucharest. During the closing ceremony, each of the participants will receive a certificate of attendance issued by the Romanian Association of Young Scholars. Moreover, the papers will be published in one of the two journals coordinated and edited by RAYS: the Romanian Journal of Social Sciences or the Romanian Review of Young Researchers.

 

A poster session is also available if you are unable to attend the conference in person. Please explicitly mention you are interested in participating in the poster session upon submitting your application. After receiving the e-mail notification of acceptance, you will then submit a poster paper, which we will print in an A2 format and display at the venue of the conference during the days of the event. All participants in the poster session will receive a scanned copy of their diploma (or they may receive it by post), a copy of the Book of Abstract and the final version of the conference program. Their final paper will also be published in one of the RAYS-edited journals or in the collective volume.

 

Please send your abstracts by September, 18th 2016 written in English or Romanian to internationaldoctoralconference@rays.org.ro. They must contain the name, statute and institutional affiliation of the author/authors, the title of the paper and an abstract of 1.500 – 2.000 characters, along with 5 key-words. The candidates whose proposals are accepted will be notified via e-mail.

 

The participation fee is 200 RON (50 EURO) and should be paid after receiving the notification of acceptance. The fee includes: full participation to the conference activities, proceedings, certificate of attendance, working materials, publication of the papers and coffee breaks.
